WINTER FLOOR HOCKEY

DEADLINE – December 21^st, A $10 CHARGE WILL BE ADDED FOR ALL LATE REGISTRANTS !!

PARENT COACHES ARE NEEDED. COACHES MEETING January 8^th AT 6:30PM.  Plan on staying for a FREE CPR class immediately following the meeting.

When:    Saturday mornings and afternoons, game times vary

Dates:    Jan 12- Feb 16 (skip 2/9)

Times:   9am games begin – practice begins 30 minutes prior to game time

1-2 grade              Code: 8FH12

          3-5 grade              Code: 8FH35

Place:     Beach Middle School Gym

Fee:        $52 per participant

The Chelsea Recreation Youth Floor Hockey program continues to be a popular winter pastime for many children in the district. Chelsea Recreation will provide plastic sticks and goggles for all participants.  Mouth guards are mandatory.  Mouth guards will be available at the scorekeeper’s desk for $2.00.  Shin guards are recommended.  This program is great exercise and a lot of fun.  Play is non-contact and supervised to provide a safe and fun playing experience. Teams will consist of no more then 11 players per team.  There are six players on the court at a time for each team, consisting of one goalie (in full pads and headgear, supplied by Chelsea Recreation), two defenders, two wingers and a center.  Prior to each game, teams will be allotted practice time to review stick handling, passing and shooting.   Every participating child will receive a team shirt.  As always, the primary emphasis is FUN for all!  PARENT COACHES ARE NEEDED!
